Hi all, i was thinking of keeping a journal on my computer. Do you have any ideas on how I can keep a privat journal or any programs that will allow me to do this?

There's an internet journal service called livejournal. I don't have it. If you want a personal journal, you could simply insert the entries into a word file.

There are about a billion blogger sites out there. But if you are wanting to keep this only for yourself, I'd say your best bet is just to make a Word file as your journal, keep adding to it, and saving as you go along.

If you're referring to how you can password protect the file, I know there are encryption programs out there that will do it for you, but I'd say your best bet is to create a journal on a website such as LiveJournal, and set the security to private. That way, only the people who have access to your account can see your entries. Signing up for Live Journal is really easy. They just need basic information, and it's free, unless of course you want a paid account. There is a captia, but they have an audio one, and I've never had any problems with it. and of course, once your account has been created, you'll never see captias again, which is nice, because I know some blogging sites make you solve one every time you read the blog. Anyway, I'm getting a little off topic here. Good luck, and happy writing. I know I also enjoy keeping a journal.

I've used live journal before, but I didn't like all the flash adds that kept coming up. Is there a mobile site I can use?

I didn't know LJ had a mobile site, either. Thanks! I guess I should have thought to try that on my own, but it never crossed my mind. I tend not to use LJ either cuz of all the ads and other crap that clutter it up. think I'll go try this as soon as I log out of the Zone.

I've never tried the mobile site, but it does exist. I've seen a few people post from it.

FYI, there's a way in microsoft word to password protect documents.
I've done it before, but will have to look into it again since it has been awhile.
sorry I couldn't be of more help, but I wanted to at least make that known.

yes, under options and I believe it is security, you have to check the box that says password protect.
Not sure how much this varries from version to version.
As for online blogging, I really loved blogger as well as word press. Word press is good since you can host it from your own surver.
